Hi, my name is Audrey Olivier and its great to have you visit my site.
I live in the beautiful KwaZuluNatal Midlands of South Africa with my husband Pierre who is an accomplished woodcrafter and Roller-Ball Sculptor (check out his website www.pierrecraft.com).
I was born in Scotland almost 63 years ago, grew up in Zimbabwe and studied and worked as a Graphic Design artist in Durban, SA. As soon as my two children showed signs of not wanting Mum around so much, I launched into a career in Fine Art, attaining a Higher Diploma at Natal Technikon that, with a move to the University of KwaZuluNatal in Pietermaritzburg, blossomed into a Masters Degree in 2000 – and not without the odd award here and there.
Working in oils,
mixed-media and warm glass, I have exhibited in the major cities of SA.
The topic of my heart: My Masters research was in the field of the Evolution of Consciousness, Spirituality and Quantum Physics. Sound mind blowing? It is fabulous! There is so much accessible information. It remains the cutting edge of human evolutionary emergence (for those interested: Ken Wilber, Frijof Capra, Michio Kaku, Itzhak Bentov, Richard Moss, Joe Dispenza, Dean Radin, Ervin Laszlo, Lynne McTaggart... to name but a few of the brilliant researchers and writers).
